About Erika

My name is Erika Radke, besides being a a Christian and an artist, I am also a mom. I have two wonderful little boys, and I am very close with my family.  I am also pretty granola (vegetarian, clean eater, environmentalist, nature lover, humanitarian…)  I want God’s creation to stay beautiful, after all! I enjoy eating chocolate chips, looking out my window, and getting outside!  I am a ceramic sculptor, clay is my first (art) love. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture and Crafts, and I teach ceramics at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, VA.  I started felting a couple years ago, and so enjoy it! I love learning new art and craft techniques.  When I create, that is a time spent in reflection and prayer. I lead a Bible Journaling group at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Springfield, VA. If you are in the DC metro area and would like to learn more about the Bible Journaling group, let me know!

I have a particular interest in the Creator. I love Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and all of God’s roles. However, I like to make things. I enjoy learning about how other people make things, too. I am fascinated with the ultimate artist, and all of His creation. Wow, just take one type of animal, perhaps a fish, and look at how many varieties there are!  God’s creation is amazing!
