Hope for the Tree
I am drawn to the book of Job, with currently more journaling entries in Job then any other book! There is strong faith, perspective, and imagery in Job.
This page was first coated with a layer of gesso, to prevent the black ink from bleeding. I used micron pens, black india ink (applied with a brush, like a watercolor), and a little white acrylic paint on the buds. I am all for using a reference to look at, go outside and look at a tree, or use a photo.
For there is hope for a tree,
if it be cut down, that it will sprout again,
and that its shoots will not cease.
Though its root grow old in the earth,
and its stump die in the soil,
yet at the scent of water it will bud
and put out branches like a young plant. –Job 14:7-9
